Alfred, son of Alfred (?980 - September 24, 996) was the designated heir to the throne of England. He passed away short of his sixteenth birthday. 

Life[]

Alfred was born in 980 to Alfred and Agatha . His father had united the kingdoms of Bessex together and was proclaimed King of England the year that the younger Alfred was born. Alfred would later be followed by siblings Goda, Iwra and Edgard. 

Death[]

Alfred died on September 24, 996. His parents reactions to his death are not recorded and sources vary pertaining to the cause of death. Elbert de Alwes version, is considered the most accurate as he was a scholar within Alfred's court at the time.
